Brand Development

Branding is what connects a company with its community.

In a communication landscape that is digitally-led, strategies that bring human interactions to technology have never been more important.

As an agency, everything we do is focused on helping brands simplify and clarify who they are and what they stand for. From strategy to activation, we collaborate with our partners to craft the content, moments, and messages that build modern brands, and express them clearly, authentically, and in unexpected ways.

Authentic connections between brands and people are made when engaging content captures a consumer’s attention and speaks the brand’s truth.

Branding is part of next generation retail: cloud commerce, mobile applications and location analytics, when fused together will give retailers an unprecedented level of data capture within value chain.

Every 30 to 40 years something big happens in retail. It is only a matter of time then before the next wave of innovation crystallizes. Something important is likely to emerge between 2020 and 2030, and companies like Amazon, Alibaba, and now even Nike are doing their damnedest to ensure that they are leading. The consumer's smartphones will soon become remote controls for the commercial exploration of the physical world or better said, they will become tools to unlock Easter eggs within shopping experiences that will vary from one individual to the next.

At Chrome & Dust Lab we mix physical with digital, we search and explore with alternative looks and new materials combined with new technology, we explore with our partners solution from other industries, and finally defining the new “Made in Italy”.

Wearable tech is at its best when it isn’t obvious and promoted by ethical & sustainable Fashion Brands. Smart garments and e-textiles are altering the landscape of fashion, apparel, retail and future on-demand and e-commerce.

At Chrome & Dust we want wearables to become truly wearable and connected, we need to start looking at the clothes we wear every day of our lives. We need to think beyond step counting and create tech that gives actionable suggestions to improve our living, at the same time your marketing campain, as well as our well-being.

We are continually searching to improve the shopping experience thru integrated and smart products. The smartphone has become the central hub for an ecosystem that encompasses just about all of today’s connected products. The Business of Fashion traces the path of a product from factory to store, uncovering how technology and data are playing an increasingly important role in helping companies synchronise their supply chains.

Turning cotton fibres into functional electronic components can open to an entirely new set of applications from healthcare and wellbeing to the Internet of Things

Sustainable fashion can be hi-tech!

More people than ever are aware of the impact the fashion industry can have on people and the planet. As one of the world's most polluting industries, second only to Big Oil. The industry overall and marketing in particular have little integrity. 'Green', 'Eco', 'sustainable' and the rest are nice but meaningless, feel-good marketing terms.

Sustainable fashion, is a part of Chrome & Dust’s business idea. We love Organic Bamboo fiber, it’s very soft, 100% bio-degradable fiber that grows naturally without the need for pesticides or fertilizers. As well as Lyocell fiber, also called Tencel, this 100% biodegradable fiber is produced in an environmentally-friendly manner from cellulose - the main material in plant cells.

Chrome & Dust also choose Fair Trade Clothing. Clothing made by businesses that have a commitment to social justice in which employees and farmers are treated and paid fairly, sustainable environmental practices are followed, and long-term trade relationships are fostered.

Blockchain technology wants to bring full transparency and consumer control to data collection on behalf of brands. It’s an idea that has been around for years: Consumers should control and explicitly sell their data for compensation. In the near future, users will also be able to answer brand surveys for compensation. Surveys can be targeted by country, region, gender and age. In the interest of full transparency, users will be able to see the brands that have purchased their data and for how much. Right now, pricing is based on “market rates.” In the future, it will become more dynamic.

Chrome & Dust belive this is a fascinating convergence of two things happening in the market: the emergence of blockchain as a solution to various market problems and growth of user privacy concerns and related regulations.

THE team

THE team

A new way to understanding work and competencies is unfolding: knowledge should be seen as networked communication. At Chrome & Dust we believe this requires us to learn new ways of talking about education, competencies and work itself. What is also needed is to unlearn the reductionist organizing principles that are still the mainstream. Work is communication and the network is the amplifier of knowledge creating value and learning.
